Teams selected for each cohort receive $20,000 in seed money and an additional estimated $700,000 in perks. In addition, companies taking part in the program gain invaluable connections to enthusiastic mentors and investors.

That wraps up our eighth cohort! 10 incredible teams pitched to more than 250 investors and 1000 members of the community on Demo Day. The teams detailed how they are changing the way we do everything from e-commerce, machine learning, human resources, to healthtech, fundraising and fintech.
It’s a busy time at Boomtown Accelerator in Boulder, as the spring 2017 cohort (Boomtown’s eighth class) is less than two weeks from Demo Day. The teams started in late February and are all focused on presenting their businesses to investors and the community on May 19th, while still managing to continue their momentum and growth required to run a business.
We’ve seen hundreds of entrepreneurs walk through the doors at Shark Tank to meet the Sharks (a.k.a. the investors) and pitch their product ideas. Some ideas the Sharks love, some they hate. In February of 2017, Bitsbox (Boomtown fall 2014 cohort), made it onto the show.
